I am just happy to find a blog that does have do follow links. Its not that easy trying to build links without having to pay someone big bucks for the privelage of having a link on their site. When someone invents another way of getting my site noticed I will be a happy man

Thanks. I have done a bit of research and you are right you have to change the code. I'll give it a go.

I believe you can do this by editing the template code, and changing all the tag attributes that are rel=’nofollow’ to simply rel='follow', and then of course saving the template.

Of course, my blog is a Wordpress blog, so you might be better off trying your luck on Google, as I'm sure this has been discussed somewhere before.

I'm a new blogger, and have been trying to get my head around all the terminology - follow / do follow / no follow - it's honestly very confusing, so I found your post really helpful. I have a blogger blog and I believe from reading around the comments section in the blogger blogs are set to no follow and cannot be changed. Are you able to show how these can be changed to do follow?

I don't really understand the point of making comments "Dofollow". How does it benefit you, the site owner? I guess it might encourage more people to comment, but more than likely most of the people commenting have no interest in your blog and are just essentially spamming you.

I guess I just don't get it. All of my blogs are nofollow - I don't get many comments, but I'm fine with that.

Also, I don't see the correlation between a higher PageRank and more money. I guess if you're using your PageRank to sell links, but other than that I don't see how it would increase your profits in any way.

I saw your list of do follow blog directories, and I thought you may also be interested in a search engine that shows if the result pages have the nofollow tag or not.

http://www.followtopia.com

It only tells you if the page has nofollow, not the whole site, but I still find it helpful. Hope it helps you.

Well, I think a healthy amount of comments is always fine. I like to think that I run a tight ship around here - but the truth is that the volume of comments that I get don't really warrant the closing of comment threads on posts, because I am able to moderate them without much of a hassle.

It all depends on what you can handle.

Do you think you should have your comments closed after a certain amount of comments? Otherwise it seems a post could get over crowded with comments from do-followers. I am still pondering taking to plunge.
